Medical Conditions Covered
To take advantage of the Medical Second Opinion service, a patient must have appropriate insurance coverage and must have been diagnosed with a serious medical condition, as defined below.
Serious medical conditions covered under the Medical Second Opinion service include:

- Cancer (all types)
- Cardiovascular conditions and heart attacks
- Coma
- Complications from diabetes
- Deafness
- Degenerative neurological diseases (e.g. MS)
- Hip and knee replacement
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Kidney failure
- Life threatening conditions
- Loss of language or vocal capacity
- Loss of eyesight
- Major bone illness
- Major lung illness
- Major trauma
- Medical conditions giving rise to possible amputation
- Motor neuron disease
- Musculoskeletal disorder
- Parkinson’s disease
- Severe burns
- Stroke and related conditions
